A fresh controversy has emerged around the Vrindavan-based ashram of renowned spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj after Falhari Maharaj, president of the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Sangharsh Nyas, raised several questions about the activities and people associated with the ashram.
In a letter, Falhari Maharaj claimed that cricketer Virat Kohli was allegedly brought to the ashram for Rs 5 crore and that the move was intended to increase the popularity and public profile of Premanand Maharaj. However, there is no independent confirmation of the claim regarding any payment to Kohli. The allegation should therefore be treated as a claim made by Falhari Maharaj and not as an established fact.
Claims Regarding a Rajasthan-Based Company
Falhari Maharaj also claimed that the company allegedly involved in bringing Virat Kohli to the ashram was based in Rajasthan. He further alleged that some individuals associated with the company later arrived at the ashram dressed as saints and subsequently became involved in property-related activities.
He has called for an inquiry into the activities of such individuals and their alleged links with property dealings. No independent evidence or official investigation confirming these allegations has been made public so far.
What Did Falhari Maharaj Say About Premanand Maharaj?
In his letter, Falhari Maharaj described Premanand Maharaj as an important spiritual figure for Sanatan Dharma and Hindu society. He expressed concern that certain people around the saint could allegedly damage his reputation.
Falhari Maharaj said he has deep respect for Premanand Maharaj and is concerned about his safety. He has also appealed to the government to increase the saint’s security.
Allegations Regarding Land in Vrindavan
The letter also raises questions about land around Vrindavan and the New Belvan Ashram area. Falhari Maharaj alleged that buying and selling of land located in areas associated with the Yamuna flood zone is taking place.
He further alleged possible involvement of officials and demanded an investigation into land transactions and the activities of people allegedly connected with such dealings.
These claims have not been independently verified, and no official findings establishing wrongdoing have been reported in connection with the allegations.
Serious Claims of Kidney Theft and Missing Children
The letter also mentions extremely serious allegations involving alleged kidney theft and children going missing. Falhari Maharaj has demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the broader issues he has raised.
However, there is currently no confirmed information regarding an official police investigation, FIR, or government action establishing these allegations. Therefore, the claims should not be presented as established facts unless supported by an official investigation or credible evidence.
Demand for Z+ Security for Premanand Maharaj
Falhari Maharaj has also demanded Z+ security for Premanand Maharaj. He alleged that some individuals posing as saints could potentially be involved in activities that may harm the spiritual leader’s reputation.
He has further appealed to Premanand Maharaj to stay at Govardhan Giriraj Ji.
The claim that Virat Kohli was allegedly brought for Rs 5 crore has attracted renewed attention following the letter. The allegations surrounding the ashram, however, remain subject to verification, and any conclusions will depend on the findings of an official investigation.
