The Iranian Embassy in Armenia “congratulated” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on the birth of her daughter with a post on X, recalling her complicity in the Minab school bombings.

Leavitt announced the birth of her child, Viviana, in an X post on Thursday.

“On May 1st, Viviana aka “Vivi” joined our family, and our hearts instantly exploded with love. She is perfect and healthy, and her big brother is joyfully adjusting to life with his new baby sister. We are enjoying every moment in our blissful newborn bubble,” the post read.

She also thanked those who supported her pregnancy journey, adding, “I truly felt them throughout the entire experience. God is Good.”

The embassy responded to Leavitt’s announcement on Saturday, emphasing the role of the U.S President Donald Trump in striking a school in Minab during the joint U.S-Israel operation against Iran on February 28. The diplomatic mission also accused Leavitt of justifying the bombings, which took the lives of over 150 people.

“Congratulations to you. Children are innocent and lovable. Those 168 children that your boss killed in the school in Minab, and you justified, were also children. When you kiss your baby, think of the mothers of those children,” the embassy wrote on X.

According to Iran’s offical news agency IRIB and local media, 73 boys and 47 girls were in the strike on the school. AFP, citing IRIB’s Telegram post, also reported that 26 teachers, seven parents, a school bus driver, and a pharmacy technicial were also killed.

Leavitt had been part of an aggressive campaign rallying support for the war in West Asia before heading for her maternity leave in April. She had responded to allegations of U.S involvement in the school bombings, claiming the nation does not target civilians.

An investigation by the Pentagon said that the strikes were a result of a targeting mistake due to the use of outdated data by American forces.
