The Bharatiya Janata Party has taken a significant step toward digitising its organisational work by shifting its training programmes to the Saral App under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Training Maha Abhiyan. The move is being projected as part of a broader effort to create a paperless, more transparent and more efficient party structure.

According to party leaders, the new digital system is designed to reduce paper usage while also supporting environmental conservation. By moving training-related processes online, the BJP aims to streamline record-keeping and make organisational monitoring easier at every level, from the booth to the national leadership.

Rajasthan BJP State General Secretary and campaign convenor Mithilesh Gautam said the application allows the party to record training activities, meetings and campaign-related work digitally. He said this gives the organisation a clearer view of what is happening at the grassroots level and helps leadership track participation and progress in real time.

The Saral App is also being used as a learning platform for party members. Through the app, members can register for training sessions, attend them, complete quizzes and study the party’s ideology, history and organisational structure. Leaders say this makes the training programme more interactive and ensures that workers are better informed about the party’s functioning and principles.

Another key feature of the platform is its ability to store attendance records, photographs, videos and reports from training camps. Party leaders believe this creates a more reliable digital archive and reduces dependence on physical files and manual documentation. It also helps maintain uniformity in reporting across different organisational units.

The party has also highlighted the communication benefits of the system. With direct digital contact between the leadership and grassroots office-bearers, BJP leaders say coordination has become easier and more immediate. This, they argue, strengthens internal communication and allows the party to respond more efficiently to organisational requirements.

By adopting the Saral App, the BJP is seeking to modernise its internal working style and align it with changing technological and administrative expectations. Leaders say the initiative reflects a wider push to improve institutional efficiency while keeping the organisation connected from the local level to the top.

The digital training initiative is being viewed as an important experiment in political organisation management, combining technology, record-keeping and ideological training within a single platform. For the BJP, it marks a shift from traditional paper-based workflows to a system built around digital access, monitoring and accountability.
