Rumours of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) co-owner Kavya Maran tying the knot with music composer Anirudh Ravichander have been making the rounds on social media, with fans believing that wedding bells were about to ring for the high profile duo. However, the speculation has now been officially put to rest after Kavya Maran’s team denied all reports linking the two in marriage.
The buzz gained momentum after veteran actor and dramatist Y.G. Mahendran, who is Anirudh Ravichander’s uncle, made comments during an interview that many interpreted as confirmation of the wedding. Speaking to a media outlet, Mahendran said that, based on what he had heard, Anirudh was set to get married and even congratulated him in advance. He also described Kavya and Anirudh as a “good pair,” adding further fuel to the already viral speculation.
His remarks spread rapidly across social media platforms, with several fan pages and entertainment portals reporting that the couple would soon make an official announcement. Within hours, the rumour had become one of the most discussed topics online.
However, Kavya Maran’s representatives quickly stepped in to clear the air. In an official clarification, her team categorically denied the reports, calling them completely false and baseless. They urged both media organisations and social media users to refrain from sharing unverified information and requested that fans avoid believing rumours without an official statement.
This is not the first time Kavya Maran and Anirudh Ravichander have found themselves at the centre of dating or marriage speculation. Similar rumours surfaced in 2025 after a viral Reddit post claimed the two were in a relationship. At the time, Anirudh himself dismissed the reports with a light-hearted post on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Marriage ah? lol… Chill out guys, pls stop spreading rumours.”
The repeated speculation is largely driven by the professional connection between the two families. Anirudh has composed music for several films produced by Sun Pictures, the production house owned by Kavya Maran’s father, media baron Kalanithi Maran. His chart-topping soundtracks for films such as Jailer, Beast and the upcoming Coolie have made him one of Sun Pictures’ most frequent collaborators, often leading fans to assume there is a personal relationship beyond work.
Despite the latest wave of rumours, there has been no official announcement from either Kavya Maran or Anirudh Ravichander regarding their personal lives. With Kavya focused on her responsibilities at Sun Group and the IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Anirudh busy with multiple film projects across the country, both continue to remain occupied with their respective careers.
For now, the viral wedding reports stand firmly debunked. The clarification from Kavya Maran’s camp leaves little room for speculation, reminding fans that not every social media claim—no matter how widely shared—turns out to be true.
