The investigation into the shocking murder of Ketan Agarwal has taken a new turn, with police now closely examining the role of Siya Goyal’s brother, Sahil Goyal. While Sahil has not been named as an accused, investigators believe he may have known more about the events leading up to the alleged murder than he has admitted.

Ketan Agarwal was allegedly murdered on June 18 at Lohagad Fort in Maharashtra in a case that has stunned the public. Police have accused his fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her alleged lover, Chetan, of planning and carrying out the crime. As investigators piece together the timeline, attention has shifted beyond the two primary suspects to determine whether anyone else had prior knowledge of the alleged conspiracy.

Speaking publicly about the case, Sahil insisted that his sister appeared committed to her upcoming wedding with Ketan. According to him, Siya had told him she wanted to distance herself from Chetan and move on with her life. He also claimed that he never informed their parents about Chetan because Siya had described him as “just a friend” and said she herself was confused about the relationship.

However, police are not fully convinced by this version of events.

Investigators believe evidence collected during the probe suggests that Siya had privately expressed her reluctance to marry Ketan. According to police sources, they suspect Sahil was aware of the seriousness of Siya and Chetan’s relationship but chose not to disclose it to anyone in the family. Officers are now trying to establish whether this silence amounted to mere family loyalty or whether it played a role in the alleged conspiracy.

Another aspect that has drawn investigators’ attention is the testimony of a driver hired to take Siya to the airport for a pre-wedding photoshoot. The driver reportedly told police that Siya initially refused to leave for the trip but was allegedly persuaded or even forced into the vehicle by Sahil. Investigators are examining whether this incident has any connection to the sequence of events that followed.

Police are also looking into another suspicious episode involving Ketan’s passport, which was reportedly torn shortly before the couple’s planned honeymoon trip to Bali. Authorities are trying to determine whether this incident was connected to the alleged murder plot and whether Sahil knew anything about it. His alleged failure to question or report the incident has become another point of interest in the investigation.

As part of the ongoing probe, Sahil recently underwent more than 10 hours of questioning by investigators. Officials have not filed charges against him so far, but they continue to examine his statements alongside witness testimonies, digital evidence, and other material collected during the investigation.

Police are treating the case as a potentially wider pre-planned conspiracy rather than an isolated act involving only two individuals. Their primary objective is to determine whether Sahil actively assisted in planning the crime, helped conceal crucial information, or was simply unaware of what was about to happen.

With the investigation still underway, authorities have emphasized that every lead is being carefully verified before any further legal action is taken. The case continues to unfold as investigators work to establish the full chain of events behind one of the year’s most disturbing alleged murder plots.
