The drama in Lock Upp Season 2 has started rolling, as television actress Shilpa Shinde and her co-contestant Akanksha Chamola are at loggerheads with each other. The actress had openly questioned Akanksha’s presence in the show and even accused her of only being there due to her ex-husband Gaurav Khanna.
Shilpa Shinde had reportedly shared her thoughts about Akanksha Chamola soon after her entry into the reality TV show. Speaking with her co-contestants Shreya Kalra and Madhuri Jain, Shilpa stated that Akanksha became known due to her marriage to Gaurav Khanna. She added that she did not know her before, but she did realize that people knew her due to her relationship with Gaurav. Shilpa said, “Maine usko bola woh Gaurav ke vajah se aayi hain. Maine kaha usko kabhi dekha tha,”.
The actress’s comments landed heavily on Akanksha, after her co-contestant Sufi Motiwala shared the same with her. However, Akanksha brushed it off initially as she smiled and said that Shilpa did not mean what she said. But later, the married woman opened up to her roommates and shared that Shilpa had actually targeted her.
Akanksha added that she felt the veteran actress would stir the trouble if she remained on the show. She further stated that if there arose a situation for a major fight inside the house, then it would be solely between her and Shilpa. Akanksha claimed that she could sense the hatred within Shilpa and felt that the latter did not want her to stay in the big house. With this, the actress predicted that her relationship with Shilpa would turn nasty from hereon.
Meanwhile, Shilpa seems to have found an ally within the house as she is apparently on good terms with Shreya Kalra. It has been seen that the two often get involved in boisterous activities together. This has also triggered speculations that the rival contestants have joined forces and are eyeing the others’ positions. It has been witnessed several times within the shows that friendship and enmity can turn out to be strategic moves to gain advantage.
On the other hand, Akanksha’s biggest controversy revolves around her recent separation from her husband Gaurav Khanna. The television actor had revealed the news on the first episode of Lock Upp Season 2, where she shared details about her relationship with Gaurav. The couple got married in November 2016, but the two decided to part ways after several years of being together.
Akanksha further shared that both of them did not have any intention of having kids, but the duo had differing views regarding children. She added that over time, she realized that she did not have maternal instincts and wanted to stay single. However, Gaurav wanted to be a father and asked her to think about it. Akanksha insisted on her decision, which eventually led to them going separate ways.
