Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is known for his attention to detail, and his wedding to entrepreneur Gauri Spratt appears to reflect that same perfectionist approach. Days after the couple tied the knot in an intimate registered ceremony on July 5, 2026, new details have emerged about the extraordinary wedding ring Aamir specially commissioned for his bride.

Instead of choosing a traditional diamond solitaire, the actor opted for an exceptionally rare natural Madagascar ruby, turning the ring into a one-of-a-kind symbol of their relationship.

According to reports, luxury jewellery brand QWEEN spent nearly three months sourcing the perfect centerpiece for the custom creation. The gemstone is a natural cabochon-cut ruby from Madagascar, a style in which the stone is polished into a smooth, rounded dome instead of being faceted. This cut enhances the ruby’s rich oxblood-red hue, allowing light to glow from within the gemstone.

Gem experts reportedly describe stones of this quality as extraordinarily uncommon, with only a tiny fraction of natural rubies meeting such high standards of purity, color, and craftsmanship.

The ring itself was designed to resemble a timeless royal heirloom rather than a contemporary engagement ring. At its heart sits the rare ruby, mounted within a raised gold gallery inspired by a coronet, or miniature crown. The intricate gold band features hand-finished milgrain detailing and flows into a bold bombé signet profile, giving the piece a regal yet elegant appearance.

Adding to its brilliance, the central ruby is surrounded by 40 natural diamonds that both enhance its beauty and provide structural protection. Every aspect of the ring was handcrafted, reflecting the painstaking effort that went into its creation.

Reports suggest the bespoke piece required an astonishing 256 hours of manual craftsmanship and involved the expertise of 131 skilled artisans, or karigars, who contributed across multiple stages—from conceptual design and metalwork to gemstone setting and finishing. This isn’t the first extraordinary jewellery piece Aamir has commissioned from QWEEN, a premium luxury brand backed by Rosy Blue and Kashikey, where the actor is also a strategic investor.

Earlier this year, ahead of the brand’s official launch, Gauri Spratt was seen wearing another exclusive creation a Brazilian aquamarine ring encircled by 40 natural diamonds. Like the Madagascar ruby, the aquamarine was reportedly chosen for its exceptional rarity, reinforcing Aamir’s preference for unique gemstones over conventional luxury. While the wedding ring reflects grandeur and exclusivity, the wedding ceremony itself was intentionally understated.

The couple exchanged vows in a private registered marriage ceremony held at Aamir Khan’s residence in Pali Hill, Bandra, Mumbai, under the provisions of the Special Marriage Act. Instead of hosting a lavish Bollywood celebration, they chose a close-knit gathering attended by family members and close friends.

Gauri Spratt embraced the intimate setting in a minimalist ivory and silver-grey lehenga designed by celebrated fashion designer Sabyasachi, complementing the elegant and personal tone of the ceremony.

One of the most heartwarming moments of the wedding came when Aamir’s son, Azad Rao Khan, and Gauri’s son, Quinn, walked down the aisle together as the couple’s official ring bearers. The touching gesture symbolized the coming together of their families and added an emotional dimension to the celebrations.

From a thoughtfully crafted rare gemstone to a quiet family-first ceremony, Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt’s wedding reflected a blend of timeless elegance, personal meaning, and meticulous attention to detail—qualities that have long defined the actor both on and off the screen.
