Mumbai: Allcargo Global Limited has appointed Essa Al Saleh as an Additional Non-Executive Independent Director and Ravi Jakhar as an Additional Director (Non-Executive, Non-Independent), effective October 1, 2026. The appointments were approved by the company’s Board through a circular resolution on October 2, subject to shareholder approval.

The appointments follow recommendations from the company’s Nomination and Remuneration Committee and are part of Allcargo Global’s broader efforts to strengthen its board-level expertise and strategic oversight.

Al Saleh has been appointed for a three-year term and brings more than 28 years of international experience across the logistics and supply chain sectors. His professional experience spans the Middle East, Europe, Asia and the Americas.

Essa Al Saleh Brings Global Logistics Experience

Al Saleh previously served as CEO of Agility Global Integrated Logistics (GIL), where he led the transformation and international expansion of the business.

During his tenure, the company grew from a single-country operation with approximately $300 million in revenue into a global logistics enterprise with around $4 billion in revenue, operations in more than 100 countries and a workforce of over 18,000 employees.

The expansion was driven by more than 40 acquisitions and ultimately culminated in the sale of the business for approximately $4.8 billion.

His experience in scaling logistics operations and managing businesses across multiple international markets is expected to add global industry expertise to Allcargo Global’s board.

Ravi Jakhar Joins as Non-Executive Director

Ravi Jakhar has also joined the board as an Additional Director in a Non-Executive, Non-Independent capacity.

Jakhar currently serves as Group Chief Financial Officer and Director – Strategy at Allcargo and oversees the group’s broader strategy and finance functions.

His responsibilities include oversight of Allcargo Global’s business operations across North America, Latin America and Oceania, along with strategic joint ventures in international markets.

Jakhar brings more than two decades of leadership experience. He holds a B.Tech from IIT BHU and has also pursued entrepreneurship studies at Harvard Business School.

Strengthening Board-Level Strategy

The appointments bring additional expertise in international logistics, finance, strategy and business expansion to Allcargo Global’s leadership structure.

While Al Saleh brings extensive experience in building and scaling global logistics businesses, Jakhar’s existing responsibilities within the Allcargo Group provide him with a broad understanding of the company’s financial and strategic operations.

Both appointments remain subject to the approval of shareholders. The additions are expected to support Allcargo Global as it continues to manage its international operations and pursue strategic opportunities across global logistics markets.
