Several stocks are likely to remain in focus, including RBL Bank, Avenue Supermarts (DMart), HCL Technologies, ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company and Adani Enterprises. Market participants will also monitor Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Steel Authority of India (SAIL), Jindal Steel and NMDC following the government’s proposed long-term roadmap for the domestic steel industry.
RBL Bank, HCLTech and ICICI Prudential AMC: Q2 Earnings in Focus
The September-quarter earnings season is expected to influence stock-specific movements on Monday. According to the BSE earnings calendar, up to 18 companies are scheduled to announce their second-quarter results for the financial year 2026-27.
The companies expected to report results include RBL Bank, HCL Technologies, ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company, Swaraj Engines, Agri-Tech (India) and Adroit Industries (India).
Investors will assess revenue growth, profitability, operating performance and management commentary to understand the financial health and future business outlook of these companies. The earnings announcements could trigger increased trading activity as investors respond to the reported numbers and forward-looking guidance.
DMart Shares: Revenue and Profit Increase
Avenue Supermarts, the company that operates the DMart retail chain, is another stock likely to attract market attention after reporting its September-quarter financial performance.
The company’s consolidated net profit increased by 8.5% year-on-year to ₹742.98 crore in the second quarter of FY27, compared with ₹684.85 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Revenue from operations rose 17.8% to ₹19,644 crore, against ₹16,676.30 crore in the year-ago quarter. Total income, including other income, increased to ₹19,657.54 crore.
However, DMart’s profit after tax margin declined to 3.8% in Q2 FY27 from 4.1% in Q2 FY26. Total expenses increased 18.3% to ₹18,632.70 crore.
The results highlight strong revenue growth alongside pressure on profitability margins. Investors are likely to evaluate whether the company can sustain its sales momentum while managing operating costs.
Steel Stocks: Government’s Vision 2047 Policy
Shares of Tata Steel, JSW Steel, SAIL, Jindal Steel and NMDC could remain in focus after the government released the draft National Steel Policy Vision 2047 for stakeholder consultation.
The proposed policy targets crude steel production capacity of 604 million tonnes, per-capita steel consumption of 302 kilograms and steel exports of 45 million tonnes by 2047.
The roadmap also aims to strengthen domestic raw-material security, reduce import dependence and increase the contribution of high-value steel to India’s overall production.
If implemented effectively, these measures could create long-term opportunities for steel manufacturers and iron ore producers. However, the actual impact will depend on policy execution, infrastructure development, domestic demand and global market conditions.
Adani Enterprises: Defence Export Recognition
Adani Enterprises may also remain in focus after its defence and aerospace arm received the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers’ Champion Award 2026 for Export Performance in Defence and Aerospace.
The award was presented by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at the organisation’s eighth annual session in New Delhi on October 9.
The recognition comes amid India’s broader efforts to strengthen domestic defence manufacturing and expand exports. Investors may track how the company’s defence business develops as the country seeks to increase indigenous production and its presence in international markets.
Other Stocks to Watch: Brigade Enterprises, NTPC and Premier Energies
Brigade Enterprises could attract attention after indicating a target of ₹9,000 crore in pre-sales for FY27, representing expected growth of 21%. The company cited demand for mid-income and premium housing, particularly apartments priced between ₹1 crore and ₹3 crore.
NTPC has invited expressions of interest from commercial and industrial entities interested in acquiring a 26% equity stake in co-generation projects. The initiative aims to develop integrated solutions for industrial electricity and steam requirements.
Premier Energies has secured fresh orders worth more than ₹4,000 crore during the July-September quarter of FY27 for solar cell and module supplies, along with engineering, procurement and construction projects.
SEPC has also signed an ₹854.57 crore contract with SAIL for work related to the pellet plant at the IISCO Steel Plant in Burnpur, West Bengal. The company said its consolidated order book has crossed ₹10,000 crore.
Market Outlook for October 12
With the GIFT NIFTY indicating a slightly positive opening, investors are likely to focus on corporate earnings, policy developments and company-specific announcements. Although the early indication suggests a modestly higher start, the actual direction of the market will depend on trading sentiment, broader economic developments and stock-specific reactions.
Investors should distinguish between short-term market movements and long-term business fundamentals before making investment decisions. The stocks mentioned are being highlighted for their corporate developments and earnings-related triggers, not as guaranteed investment opportunities.
