Pakistan Minister Mocks India; Calls Pahalgam Attack A ‘False Flag Operation’

As Wednesday marks a year since the terror attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 people, Pakistan Information Minister Attaullah Tarar made a series of controversial comments, including calling the attacks a ‘false flag operation’ and that it reflected a ‘hollow mindset’ driven by ‘false pride, arrogance, and greed’. He claimed the attack was orchestrated by India to falsely frame Pakistan as the aggressor.

“Let me make it very clear that this was the last false flag operation that India carried out in Pahalgam,” he said in a televised special address “It will not dare to carry out such a false flag operation again.”

Tarar made serious allegations against India of using the Pahalgam anniversary to deflect from its own militant activities. He claimed that Pakistan had been a victim of terrorism and expressed ‘full sympathy’ for the victims of the attack. However, after Operation Sindoor, footage had emerged from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir showing Pakistan army officials attending the funeral of three terrorists killed in the strike. They were seen alongside members of Hafiz Saeed’s extremist organisation, Jamaat-ud-Dawah (JuD).

He accused India of not providing ‘solid evidence’ or ‘satisfactory explanations’ regarding Pakistan’s involvement in the Pahalgam tragedy.

“Furthermore, without evidence, without investigation, and without proper inquiry, the blame was immediately placed on Pakistan,” he claimed.

Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had issued a warning to Pakistan against further instigations during an event with the Indian community in Germany on Wednesday.

“There is no need to tell you what our army has done in Operation Sindoor. Our military power has also become stronger than before. India has never attacked any country in the world from its own side. But if a neighbour tries to create trouble, then ‘dot, dot, dot’. All neighbours are fine, only one is troublesome,” He said in a video shared by ANI.
