The controversy surrounding Dhurandhar: The Revenge, popularly known as Dhurandhar 2, is getting bigger with each passing day. What started as a dispute over a recreated song has now turned into a serious legal battle involving filmmaker Aditya Dhar and Trimurti Films. Reports suggest that mediation talks between both sides have failed, and the matter is now headed back to the Delhi High Court.

The issue revolves around the recreated version of the iconic “Oye Oye” song, titled “Rang De Lal (Oye Oye)” in the film. Soon after the track was released, Trimurti Films raised objections, claiming that parts of the original composition from the 1989 film Tridev had been used without proper permission. The company reportedly accused the makers of directly lifting elements from the classic song instead of merely taking inspiration from it.

Initially, the Delhi High Court had encouraged both parties to resolve the matter through mediation, hoping for a peaceful settlement since the dispute was believed to be largely financial. However, recent reports indicate that the discussions did not lead to any agreement. With mediation failing, the legal battle is expected to continue in court, and the next hearing has reportedly been scheduled for May 8.

According to reports, Trimurti Films believes the recreated track goes beyond a simple remake and infringes on the rights connected to the original song. On the other hand, the makers of Dhurandhar 2 have reportedly maintained that all legal procedures related to music rights were properly followed during the production process.

Despite the growing controversy, the film continues to enjoy massive popularity among audiences. Directed by Aditya Dhar and featuring Ranveer Singh in the lead role, Dhurandhar 2 has become one of the biggest commercial hits of recent times. Fans continue to praise the film for its action sequences, performances, and large-scale cinematic appeal.

Interestingly, this is not the first controversy linked to the Dhurandhar franchise. Over the past few months, the film has already faced plagiarism allegations and other legal challenges, keeping it constantly in the headlines. The latest copyright dispute has now added another layer of tension around the blockbuster project.

The situation has sparked strong reactions on social media, with fans divided over the issue. While some believe recreated songs often lead to such disputes in Bollywood, others feel original creators deserve proper credit and protection.

As the matter returns to court, both fans and industry insiders are closely watching how the case unfolds. Whether the controversy will affect the future of the franchise remains to be seen, but for now, Dhurandhar 2 continues to dominate both the box office and entertainment headlines.
