According to an update shared by his sister Jaishree, the actor’s condition has deteriorated significantly, leaving his family deeply concerned.

Ishwar Thakur, 54, has reportedly been dealing with health complications for several years. According to his sister Jaishree, his health problems began in 2020 after he suffered an injury to his leg, around three months before the COVID-19 lockdown.
As Ishwar was already living with diabetes, the wound did not heal properly and eventually developed into a serious infection. His health reportedly continued to deteriorate over the following years, with complications affecting multiple organs.
According to the information shared by his family, Ishwar has been dealing with diabetes and kidney-related complications, while his liver function has also been affected.
Ishwar Thakur Hospitalised for the Ninth Time
Speaking about her brother’s health, Jaishree reportedly told India Today that the family has exhausted its financial resources while trying to continue his treatment.
She said that Ishwar’s health problems began with the leg injury in 2020. Because of his diabetes, the wound failed to heal and the infection gradually spread. According to Jaishree, this is the ninth time that Ishwar has required hospitalisation.
The prolonged treatment has reportedly placed a significant financial burden on the family, which is now seeking assistance to meet his medical expenses.
Family Appeals for Financial Assistance
Jaishree said that the family has spent its entire savings on Ishwar’s treatment and has even had to sell their house to manage the expenses.
She said that she and her husband have been taking care of Ishwar, but the family is now struggling to arrange further funds for his treatment. She also said that their mother has a heart condition and is dependent on the family.
With Ishwar currently undergoing treatment in the ICU, the family is focusing on arranging the resources required for his continued medical care.
Television Industry Had Helped During COVID-19 Period
According to Jaishree, members of the television and entertainment industry had previously stepped forward to support Ishwar when news of his health problems emerged during the COVID-19 period.
The family is now appealing for support again as the cost of his ongoing treatment continues to rise. Jaishree said that arranging funds for Ishwar’s medical care is currently the family’s primary concern.
