Lock Upp Season 2 has only just begun, but the reality show is already making headlines for its intense confrontations and heated arguments. This time, veteran television actor Ram Kapoor has found himself at the centre of controversy after his behaviour during the first immunity task sparked criticism from viewers across social media.

The incident unfolded during a physically demanding paintball challenge, where contestants competed for immunity from the week’s elimination. While the task itself was designed to test endurance and speed, it was Ram Kapoor’s reaction afterward that quickly became the biggest talking point of the episode.

Ram Kapoor Stops the Challenge

The immunity task required contestants who were not yet safe to run across a muddy course while avoiding paintballs fired by contestants Harshad Chopra and Akanksha Chamola, who had already secured immunity. The objective was simple—reach the buzzer in the fastest time possible.

After completing his run, Ram Kapoor appeared exhausted and repeatedly asked the crew for drinking water. As the wait continued, he became visibly frustrated and voiced his displeasure on camera. Claiming that he had been asking for water for a long time, Ram questioned the show’s arrangements and demanded that the production team immediately provide drinking water.

When his request wasn’t fulfilled instantly, the actor walked into the middle of the active task area, bringing the competition to a halt and preventing other contestants from continuing the challenge.

Riteish Deshmukh Defuses the Situation

Host and jailer Riteish Deshmukh stepped in through the microphone and requested Ram Kapoor to move away from the playing zone. He warned the actor that remaining in the middle of the arena could result in him being hit by multiple paintballs.

Instead of stepping aside immediately, Ram responded defiantly, saying, “Lagane do, aao maaro,” challenging the situation rather than resolving it.

Riteish, however, maintained his composure. He reminded Ram and the other contestants that every participant had been given a personal water bottle before the task began. The host clarified that it was each contestant’s responsibility to carry their bottle during the challenge rather than expecting the crew to deliver water midway through the game. Following the clarification, Ram quietly left the arena, allowing the immunity task to resume without further interruption.

Social Media Slams Ram Kapoor

Soon after the episode aired, clips of the confrontation went viral across social media platforms. Many viewers criticised Ram Kapoor’s behaviour, calling it “entitled,” “unnecessary,” and “arrogant.”

Several users praised Riteish Deshmukh for handling the tense situation calmly instead of escalating the argument. A common opinion circulating online suggested that Ram would not have displayed the same attitude if the show had been hosted by Salman Khan, with many fans applauding Riteish’s patience and professionalism. Others pointed out that contestants enter Lock Upp knowing it is designed to test both physical and mental endurance, making Ram’s protest seem out of place.

Controversy Continues to Follow Ram

This isn’t the first time Ram Kapoor has attracted attention inside the house. Earlier in the season, fellow contestant Shreya Kalra confronted him over an old interview in which he used an offensive comparison while describing his hectic work schedule.

Although Ram defended the remark by calling it his style of humour and admitting he was “still learning,” both contestants and viewers remained unconvinced.

With two controversies already dominating the opening week, Ram Kapoor has quickly emerged as one of the most talked-about contestants of Lock Upp Season 2. Whether this attention works in his favour or against him remains to be seen, but one thing is certain—the drama inside the jail has only just begun.
