Five individuals were killed in a shooting at a child welfare institute in Stade in northern Germany. Police said two people were apprehended, one of whom is suspected of being the shooter.
There were reports from the region that the attack took place at a youth centre in the central Stade area, but the police have not confirmed every part of the location or the claims that multiple individuals were involved.
Police stated there is no continuing danger to the general public but the probe into the reason is still underway.
