According to a report by Fars News Agency, Deputy Inspector of Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters Sardar Asadi cautioned Iran on Saturday, warning that Tehran’s war with the United States might flare up again.
As both countries are operating on a fragile ceasefire, Asadi accused Washington of not abiding by any agreements or deals, and emphasised that Iranian military forces are fully prepared for any potential escalation.
“The actions and statements of US officials are primarily media-driven aimed first at preventing a drop in oil prices and second at extricating themselves from the mess they have created. The armed forces are fully prepared for any new adventures or foolishness from the Americans,” he said.
Meanwhile, an investigative report by CNN revealed the grave damages to various US bases across West Asia inflicted by Iran.
The report stated that Camp Buehring in Kuwait, once an important hub, had undergone heavy damages after being hit by missiles and drones. CNN described the former bustling American micro-city in the country as nearly empty.
According to CNN, Iranian airstrikes destroyed around 16 US installations across eight countries, with some of them becoming virtually unusable.
Iran has also suffered loss, with the US blockade around the Strait of Hormuz costing the nation around $4.8 billion in oil revenue according to a report by Axios. This has added to the mounting financial pressure on Tehran.
The Department of War estimated a loss of $5 billion in oil earnings for Iran due to the disruptions connected to the US naval operations in the region. Officials claim they are targeting sanctioned maritime trade and energy exports in the gulf.
The future of the ongoing conflict continues to hang in the balance, with the second round of talks expected to take place in Pakistan failing to materialise after Iran denied to meet the US delegation.
