Welcome to the Jungle Box Office Collection Day 5: Akshay Kumar’s latest entertainer, Welcome to the Jungle, continues its impressive theatrical run as the multi-starrer crossed the ₹120 crore mark at the worldwide box office within just five days of release. The film has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing the lifetime global earnings of the original Welcome (2007), which collected ₹117.91 crore worldwide during its entire run.

Directed by Ahmed Khan, the action-comedy has emerged as one of the strongest performers of 2026. According to the latest box office figures, the film has earned ₹81.50 crore India net, translating to ₹97.17 crore India gross, while its overseas collections have reached ₹22.95 crore. This takes the film’s total worldwide gross to an impressive ₹120.12 crore after just five days in cinemas.

One of the biggest talking points has been the film’s unusual weekday performance. Instead of witnessing the typical Monday-to-Tuesday decline, Welcome to the Jungle registered an increase in collections. The movie earned ₹8.50 crore on Monday before climbing to ₹9.25 crore on Tuesday, reflecting an 8.8 percent jump.

Trade experts attribute this growth to a strategic ticket-discount campaign introduced by the makers. Reduced ticket prices encouraged more audiences to visit theatres during the working week, resulting in healthy occupancy levels of nearly 29.06 percent across 10,258 shows nationwide. The move helped maintain strong momentum after the opening weekend and contributed significantly to the film crossing the ₹120 crore worldwide milestone.

Made on an estimated budget of ₹115–120 crore, the film has already recovered its production cost through worldwide theatrical collections and is expected to become increasingly profitable as its box office run continues. The film boasts one of the biggest ensemble casts seen in recent years. Alongside Akshay Kumar, the movie features Raveena Tandon, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Disha Patani, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff, bringing together comedy veterans and popular stars under one roof.

While critics have offered mixed reviews, audiences have responded positively to the film’s comedy and nostalgic appeal. Director Ahmed Khan recently expressed his happiness over the audience’s reaction, saying that hearing people laugh inside theatres after two and a half years of hard work has been the most rewarding experience. With a worldwide total already exceeding ₹120 crore, Welcome to the Jungle is now eyeing one of the biggest first-week collections of the year. Trade analysts expect the film to comfortably cross the ₹150 crore India net mark during its theatrical run if it maintains steady weekday collections before facing competition from upcoming releases.

Given its current pace, the Akshay Kumar starrer has established itself as one of 2026’s major box office successes and has already rewritten the franchise’s record books by overtaking the lifetime worldwide collection of the original Welcomein less than a week.
