The ongoing war of words between comedians Sunil Pal and Samay Raina has taken another dramatic turn, and this time, social media is loving every second of it.

The latest round of their public feud began after the premiere of India’s Got Latent Season 2. During the episode, Samay Raina once again cracked a joke at Sunil Pal’s expense, reviving his now-familiar jibe about the veteran comedian’s hygiene.

“Aap brush kyun nahi karte?” (Why don’t you brush your teeth?), Samay quipped, a line he has used before while poking fun at Pal.

But unlike previous instances, Sunil Pal decided he wasn’t going to let the joke pass quietly.

Taking to Instagram, the comedian chose a rather creative way to respond. He teamed up with content creator Jay Verma, who has become popular online for his spot-on impersonations of Samay Raina. Together, the duo posted a Reel that staged a mock conversation between Pal and a Samay lookalike.

The video started on a light note. Sunil jokingly said that he forgave Samay because his show releases at night and his name itself means “time” or “night.” However, the mood quickly changed as the veteran comedian addressed the repeated brushing jokes.

“You say I don’t brush my teeth? But you brush your teeth, right? Then why is there so much filth in your mouth? Remove all that filth first and then brush your teeth,” Sunil said in the video.

The clip immediately grabbed attention online, with social media users once again divided over the two comedians’ ongoing battle.

Interestingly, this feud didn’t begin overnight.

Last year, Sunil Pal openly criticised India’s Got Latent, taking issue with its use of explicit language and edgy humour. He also suggested that Samay Raina should learn from Kapil Sharma, whom he praised for entertaining audiences through what he described as “clean comedy.”

Samay, however, didn’t take the criticism lightly. In his stand-up special Still Alive, the comic called Sunil “insecure” and “frustrated,” adding yet another chapter to their growing rivalry.

The two even came face-to-face on The Great Indian Kapil Show last month. While many hoped the meeting would put an end to the tension, it now appears that the ice hasn’t melted at all.

As clips and comments continue to circulate online, fans are choosing sides, debating whether the exchanges are harmless comic banter or evidence of a genuine professional rift.

Whatever the truth may be, one thing is certain: when Sunil Pal and Samay Raina take aim at each other, the internet simply can’t look away.
