Iranian lawmakers are planning a legislation that offers a bounty worth €50 million for the assassination of U.S President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

According to the Telegraph UK, Chairman of Iran’s National Security Commission Ebrahim Azizi said the lawmakers were discussing a bill called “Reciprocal action by military and security forces of the Islamic Republic”, which offers a reward of €50 million to anyone who assassinates Trump.

As per Aziz, Tehran alleges that Trump, Netanyahu, and Admiral of U.S Central Command Brad Cooper, are responsible for the February 28 strikes that killed late Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and that they must face “confrontation and reciprocal action”.

Jewish Chronicle reported that Deputy Chairman of the National Security Commission Mahmoud Nabavian said the parliament would vote on offering “a significant reward” for anyone who “sends the gambler Trump and the child-killer Netanyahu to hell”.

Nabavian also warned that any future military action against Iran or its administration would invite retaliation against the U.S and Israel, along with the regional Arab governments aligned with them.

He wrote on X, “Threats against the Supreme Leader and military commanders have again been heard from the filthy mouths of some enemy officials.”

Previous threats against Trump

Trump had been subjected to various threats and bounty campaigns by Iran in recent years, especially after the killing of Khamenei and Iranian commander Qassem Soleimani.

A campaign called “Blood Covenant” reportedly raised more than $27 million for bounty efforts targeting Trump.

According to the Iran Wire, the hacking group “Handala” had also claimed to raise $50 million for the “elimination” of Trump and Netanyahu.

Trump has also been vocal in his threats against the Islamic Republic, once making a statement that the United States would “wipe them off the face of the Earth”.

Negotiations still ongoing

Despite threats being exchanged between both sides, Iranian officials maintained that indirect negotiations with the United States were ongoing.

Spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Esmaeil Baghaei said peace talks mediated by Pakistan were advancing with multiple rounds of proposals communicated between both nations.
